Secondo mwkwClaudio Eliano, dopo la morte di Pronace i mwlaSette contro Tebe instituirono un mwlqagone funebre in suo onore, cerimonia questa che in seguito divvenne i mwlgGiochi Nemei. Eliano sostiene anche che molti pensano erroneamente che i giochi siano stati istituiti per mwlwArchemoro, (un bambino ucciso da un serpente a mwmaNemea) e continua scrivendo che in realtà i giochi furono inizialmente istituiti per Pronace, ma che poi vennero associati ad Archemoro.cite-ref-eliano-3-0[3]
